BGSU Soccer Recognized Among Most Improved D-I Programs

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio- - The Bowling Green State University Men's Soccer program was named one of the Most Improved Programs in D-I competition. The NCAA released a the 24 team list which included two Mid-American Conference representatives; BGSU and the University at Buffalo.
"We are pleased to be one of the teams on the NCAA Most Improved List," said head coach Fred Thompson. "The process of building the program back to National prominence will take some time and it is always good to see indications of growth and progress."
The Orange and Brown improved their record 5.5 games from a 0-19-0 record in 2004 to 4-13-2 in 2005 including wins over in-state rival Ohio State University and new MAC opponent IPFW.
"Our plan is to make the list again in 2006 and to continue to gain momentum from there," said Thompson.
