AKRON, Ohio (AP) - Romeo Travis scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Akron to a 77-62 win over Bowling Green on Tuesday night.
The Zips (19-5, 12-2 Mid-American) extended their at-home winning streak to 16 games and put four players in double figures.
Dru Joyce and Nick Dials also scored 11 points for Akron, and reserve Cedrick Middleton added 10.
John Floyd led Bowling Green (9-15, 5-9) with 19 points. Steven Wright scored 15 off the bench.
Akron led 35-25 at the break and opened the second half on a 12-5 run. They never trailed in the second half.
Akron outscored Bowling Green 32-24 in the paint and held the Falcons to 38 percent shooting from the field.
The Zips also outscored the Falcons 15-2 on second-chance points and outrebounded them 42-27.
