BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Jordan Pleiman scored 19 points, and Bowling Green went more than 10 minutes without a field goal in the first half Saturday, helping Wright State pull away to a 70-51 victory.
Wright State (13-12) opened the game with a 28-4 run featuring three 3-pointers apiece by Drew Burleson and Jaron Taylor. Taylor went 4-of-5 from behind the arc overall.
Bowling Green (9-16) went 10 minutes, 14 seconds between baskets during the decisive spurt. The Falcons didn't shoot a free throw and made only seven baskets while falling behind 37-16 at halftime.
Martin Samarco went 5-of-12 from the field in the first half, scoring all but two of the Falcons' baskets and 12 of their 16 points. The rest of the Falcon lineup was 2-for-10.
After falling behind 28-4, the Falcons never got closer than 17 points the rest of the game. Samarco had a team-high 19 points, and Eric Marschall added 14.
