Kelsey Jakupcin Honored As MAC Player of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Freshman Kelsey Jakupcin, a Dublin, Ohio native, was named the Women's Tennis Player of the Week for her efforts in Indiana. Jakupcin went 4-1 on the week in competition against Butler (2-0) Indiana State (2-0) and DePaul (0-1).

In the 4-3 win over Butler, Jakupcin had a win at No. 5 singles (6-0, 6-0) and at No. 2 doubles (8-3). She also scored a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles vs. Indiana State and at No. 3 doubles she secured an 8-2 victory. She dropped a 7-5, 6-3 decision at No. 5 singles vs. DePaul.

Before the DePaul loss, Jakupcin had won four straight singles matches.
