Spring Competitions Start for Men's Cross Country

DEFIANCE, Ohio - In preparation for next fall, several men's cross country athletes ran as a part of the men's track club this past Saturday in Defiance, Ohio. Several Falcons finished well in Saturday's meet, one of several this spring to help train the team for the fall.
Steve Vairetta finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.95 seconds.
Rogers Kipchumba placed sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:03.69.
Kipchumba also saw a fourth place finish in the 1500-meters with a time of 4:17.14.
Curtis Farnsel finished sixth in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:18.52.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, sophomore Edgar Ramirez finished fifth with a time of 10:33.70.

Cami Wells, head coach for the men, who was there coaching the women's track team thought the men did a nice job overall and it was a good opportunity for them to compete.
