BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University baseball team welcomes the Dayton Flyers to Warren Steller Field on Wednesday, April 12 at 3 PM. The Falcons increased their all-time lead in the series to 40-15 after a 6-4 win in Dayton earlier this season.
Trailing 4-2 with two outs in the top of the sixth and the bases loaded, Sophomore Andrew Foster sent a pitch over the left-field fence for a grand slam to win this year's previous contest between BGSU and the Flyers.
UD is currently riding a six-game winning streak and could arrive in Bowling Green with a seven-game streak barring the outcome of their game against fellow MAC foe, Ball State, on Tuesday afternoon in Dayton.
The Falcons strung together a seven-game winning streak of their own before having it snapped this weekend at Central Michigan. Junior Eric Lawson batted .600 with five doubles, two homeruns, seven RBI and a .967 slugging percentage during the seven-game stretch. The Milford, Ohio native recorded three hits in five seperate games during the streak.
