Falcons Set to Face Rival Rockets and Eagles on the Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - In their last weekend of Mid-American Conference road contests, the Bowling Green Falcons (13-7, 2-3) will travel to the rival Toledo Rockets (12-5, 3-2) on Friday afternoon and to Ypsilanti, Michigan to face the Eagles of Eastern Michigan (8-8, 3-2). Both matches will begin at 1:00 p.m.
The Rockets have a split MAC home record winning one and losing another match at home. The Rockets were defeated by the Miami RedHawks but took the win against Ball State at home. Both matches ended with a 4-3 score.
Toledo, fresh off a 6-1 loss to Buffalo, in involved in a three way tie for third in the current conference standings. The Eagles and the Buffalo Bulls accompany the Rockets in the tie.
In the preseason poll, EMU picked up fifty-one votes to edge out the fifty received by the Orange and Brown. To date, the Eagles have MAC wins over Ball State, Northern Illinois and Akron. Before facing the Falcons, the Eagles will take on MAC leaders, Western Michigan.
Upon the completion of this weekend's contests, the Falcons will host the Northern Illinois Huskies in Bowling Green in final preperation for the MAC Tournament.
Falcon Tennis Notables
The loss to Western Michigan snapped Heidi Romer's 13-match win streak at the No. 3 singles flight. Currently, Romer has taken full command of the number two all-time singles win slot with her 77 career victories in Orange and Brown.
Andrea Meister and Andrea Volle lead the Falcons in doubles win. As a unit, they have accumulated a 12-6 overall record and are 3-2 in MAC play.
