CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished ninth over the weekend at the Illini Spring Classic among 16 teams, shooting a 642 (323-319). Ball State (630) was the only Mid-American Conference opponent to surpass the Falcons, a tournament which also included Western Michigan (644) and Northern Illinois (645).
Leading the way for the Brown and Orange was sophomore Jessica McCann who shot a career-best 77 on Friday, only to surpass that 24 hours later by shooting a 75. Her 152, 36-hole score helped her place eighth overall, second-best among MAC performers.
Also competing for the Falcons was Carley Hrusovsky (157, T-23rd), Kari Liggett (166, T-59th), Amanda Schroeder (167, T-61st) and Amanda Bader (169, T-65th).
The Falcons will not have long to think about the Illini Classic as they hit the road for Delaware, Ohio, Monday, as they will be competing in the Rocket Spring Classic on Apr. 17-18.
