Menoff and Meister Score in BGSU's Loss

OXFORD, Ohio - Despite wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 singles flights, the Falcons fell to the University at Buffalo Bulls in the quarterfinal round of the Mid-American Championships, 5-2.
The Bulls took the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 flights. Senior Heidi Romer and sophomore Jenna Nussbaum were edged out, 8-6, to UB's Andreea Novaceanu and Tina Jacob at the top of the line-up. The Jakupcin sister's were reunited at the No. 2 flight and fell 8-3 to Miglena Nenova and Kristen Ortman. Longtime doubles partners Andrea Volle and Andrea Meister's set was not finished. At the break the duo was done 6-5.
Meister picked up the win at the No. 4 singles position with her 6-4, 6-4 wins over Ortman. Likewise Stefanie Menoff defeated Jacob's in straight sets of 6-3, 6-3.
The Falcons finished the season at 14-10 overall. The program also broke the record for consecutive wins at 11 straight.
