Rain in Midland Alters MAC Tournament Schedule

MIDLAND, Mich. - Rain in Midland, Mich., has altered the schedule for the 2006 Mid-American Conference Softball Tournament. The final two games of Wednesday's (May 10) four-game schedule were postponed due to rain, meaning that there are six games scheduled for Thursday (May 11), weather permitting.
As a result, the Bowling Green State University softball team is scheduled to play Kent State University in the fifth game of the day, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The complete Thursday schedule currently is as follows...
Game 3 - Central Michigan vs. Eastern Michigan, 9:30 a.m.
Game 4 - Western Michigan vs. Ohio, 11:45 a.m.
Game 5 - Akron vs. Northern Illinois, 2:00 p.m.
Game 6 - Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser, 4:15 p.m.
Game 7 - Bowling Green vs. Kent State, 6:30 p.m.
Game 8 - Game 3 winner vs. Game 4 winner, 8:45 p.m.
