Falcons Ninth After Day One of MAC Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team sits in ninth place after the opening 36 holes of competition at the 2006 Mid-American Conference Championships, held at the Brickyard Crossing in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Falcons, who shot a team score of 605 (303-302) will pick up the action again tomorrow afternoon.
The Brown and Orange were led by senior Tommy Lopez. After firing an opening nine hole score of 42 (+6), he played the following 27 holes 2-under par. His 76-72-148 places him in a tie for 19th.
Also competing for the Falcons was Jace Walker (151, T-29th), Heath Ziglar (151, T-29th), Dan McIntyre (156, T-43rd) and Trevor Spathelf (156, T-43rd).
The Falcons continue action tomorrow afternoon with the Falcons first tee time starting at 12:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
