Falcons Fall 3-0 in Exhibition Play

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Three first half Xavier goals set the Orange and Brown back early in their first exhibition match at Mickey Cochrane Field. Bowling Green fell 3-0 to the visiting Musketeers despite holding XU scoreless in the second half.

Chuko Evwaraye, Ahmad Smith and Gavin Dozier gave the crowd a glimpse of the future with their combined four shots with three coming on goal. Veteran Abiola Sandy also struck twice with two shots on goal.

Brent Petkus was perfect in goal in the second half with two saves on five shots.

Six rookies earned their first start for BGSU.

The pre-season exhibition play will conclude against Dayton on Sunday. The Falcons are scheduled to take flight against the Flyers at noon.
