Soccer Falcons Shut-out By Flyers, 2-0

DAYTON, Ohio - After 52 scoreless minutes of play, the University of Dayton Flyers were the first to post a goal on the scoreboard en route to a 2-0 victory over the visiting Falcons.

The Falcons were out shot by the Flyers 14-12. Four Falcons had one shot on goal.

Veteran goalkeeper Paul Shoemaker had five saves in 74:53 minutes while Brent Petkus recorded one save in 15:07.

The Orange and Brown will open the regular season as they host the BGSU Invitational with matches on Friday and Sunday. BGSU will kick-off against Western Illinois University at 4:00 p.m. Coverage will be televised locally on BCSN.
