Jamie Roflow Named MAC Runner of the Week

CLEVELAND - It was announced Tuesday by the Mid American Conference that the Falcons very own Jamie Roflow was named the runner of the week for her performance at the Bowling Green-Toledo Dual.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK Jamie Roflow Bowling Green JR• (Cincinnati, Ohio /McNicholas)? Roflow, a Cincinnati, Ohio native, won the annual Toledo Dual meet for the third year in a row. Leading the race for its entirety, she crossed the finish line in a time of 18:05, almost thirty seconds faster than her nearest competitor on a very windy day in Bowling Green.
OTHER NOMINEES:Kalli Williams Eastern Michigan Kalli placed 2nd out of 20 in Michigan Open with a time of 18:07 in the Women's 5k. Kalli had the highest placement of any EMU runner in the meet.
Jackie Rivard Central Michigan So• (Ubly, Mich. / Ubly) Rivard was CMU's top finisher in the Jeff Drenth Memorial with a sixth-place overall finish. She ran the 5K in 17:55.
Jennie Stoll Miami Jr. • (Pewaukee, Wis. / Pewaukee) As the top Miami finisher at the Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge, Stoll clocked in with a fourth-place time of 18:47. Stoll was the first Miamian across the finish line for the eighth consecutive race, dating back to last season's Miami Invitational, and it marked the seventh top-five overall finishes in Stoll's three seasons in the Red and White. It also was her third straight top-five finish at the Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge and it helped Miami place second, only one-point behind overall winner IPFW.
Nicole Camp Toledo Camp was Toledo's top finisher with a time of 18:33 at the Bowling Green Dual
Meghan Ginter Northern Illinois (Aurora, Ill.) Northern Illinois University sophomore came out of the chutes, blazing as the Aurora, Ill., native helped the Huskies to a fifth-place finish at the 2-mile Elmhurst Early bird Invitational with an eighth-place mark of 11:55.
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK Brad Untrauer Miami?So. • (McCordsville, Ind. / Mt. Vernon)?Untrauer finished as the top Miamian and the race runner-up at last weekend's Dayton Flyer 5K Challenge. Clocking in with a second-place time of 15:28.09, Untrauer finished just seven seconds off the winning pace and helped Miami win the team title at the Flyer 5K Challenge. It the first time in Untrauer's career he was the top Miami finisher and it was his highest overall finish in his two seasons with the Red and White.
OTHER NOMINEES: Matt Loiselle Central Michigan Jr. • (Windsor, Ont. /Riverside SS) Loiselle won the Jeff Drenth Memorial last Friday, completing the 5K loop in 14:34. He edged out Michigan State's Stephan Shay by four seconds. It was the first collegiate victory (track or cross country) for Loiselle.
Eddie Kipchoge Bowling Green Fr. • (El Doret, Kenya) Kipchoge, an El Doret, Kenya native and Falcon newcomer, won his first race as a Falcon Friday at the annual Toledo Dual. Kipchoge led throughout the entire race. He crossed the finish line in a time of 15:29, 30 seconds faster than his nearest competitor.
Curtis Vollmar Eastern Michigan Vollmar placed 8th out of 44 at the Michigan Open with a time of 33:12 in the Men's 10k. Vollmar had the highest placement of any EMU runner in the meet.
Christopher Gobbell Toledo Gobbell was Toledo's top finisher in the Bowling Green dual with a time of 16:22.
