The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team will be a part of three regular-season telecasts, including the home game vs. arch-rival Toledo on Sunday, Feb. 4. The starting time for the BGSU-UT game has been moved to 4:00 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
The Falcons' game at Northern Illinois on Saturday, Feb. 10, like the UT contest, will be the MAC Game of the Week. The BGSU-NIU game has been moved to 12:00 p.m. Eastern -- please note that this is a change from the original schedule the MAC sent out on Tuesday afternoon.
Planned clearances for the MAC Games of the Week are FSN Ohio, Comcast Local, CSN Chicago and Time Warner in Western New York.
BGSU's game at Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Jan. 28, is scheduled to be televised by Comcast Local and will begin at 4:30 p.m.
The MAC tournament, which will bring all men's and women's teams to Quicken Loans Arena for the first time ever, features 22 games in seven days from March 4-10. The men's quarterfinal night games on Friday, March 8, will be aired live, as well as both men's and women's semifinals on Friday, March 9, and both championship games on Saturday, March 10. This marks the first time in league history that quarterfinal games will be televised.
The MAC's partnership with ESPN will lead to 11 national appearances on either ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. Included in that total is the league's participation in the ESPN BrackerBuster Saturday event on Feb. 17 and the Central Michigan at Miami women's contest on ESPNU on Jan. 27.
The MAC Game of the Week schedule begins Feb. 3 and will follow the league race until the final regular season date of competition on March 3. The MAC Game of the Week is scheduled to air on FSN Ohio, Comcast Local, CSN Chicago and Time Warner in New York, an estimated 10 million homes.
In addition to its MAC Game of the Week and MAC Tournament coverage, Comcast Local will partner with the MAC to exclusively carry 14 games throughout the season.
