Falcons Place Four on College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team

Fearne, Gerken, Kohler & Siesel all named to the squad
Four members of the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). The team was announced on Tuesday (March 24).
Jasmine Fearne, Lauren Gerken, Paige Kohler and Emily Siesel all were named to the team. Kohler and Siesel each earn the honor for the second consecutive season.
Fearne played in 30 of BGSU's 31 games in 2025-26, making 16 starts, and averaged 4.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. She led the Falcons in assist/turnover ratio (1.43), and was third on the team with 38 three-point field goals made. The Cairns, Australia, native had four double-figure scoring games on the year.
In the classroom, Fearne is a psychology major with a minor in coaching and a cumulative grade point average of 3.73.
Gerken, a native of Findlay, Ohio, was one of four Falcons to play in all 31 games, making 17 starts. She was third on the team in both scoring (9.7 ppg) and rebounding (4.5 rpg), and made 53 three-point field goals, the second-highest total on the club. Gerken scored in double digits 18 times, ranking second on the team in that category as well. She also had one double-figure rebounding game, and one double-double, in 2025-26.
Gerken, a middle childhood education major, maintains a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA.
Kohler, who hails from Olmsted Falls, Ohio, was named to the All-Mid-American Conference Third Team in 2025-26. She started all 31 games and led BGSU in scoring, with 14.9 ppg. Kohler was second on the club in assists (2.97 ppg), third in steals (1.19 spg) and fourth in rebounding (3.9 rpg), and she made a team-leading 67 three-point field goals on the year. Kohler scored in double digits 28 times, and had two 20-plus point games along with the first triple-double in program history.
Kohler, a psychology major with a minor in coaching, maintains a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Siesel was one of just four Falcons to see action in all 31 games, making five starts in her senior season. She averaged 2.4 points, 1.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 12.1 minutes per game. Siesel, a native of New Washington, Ohio, made a total of 19 three-point field goals, ranking fifth on the team, and shot a team-best .328 from the arc in 2025-26.
Siesel is a psychology major with a double minor in child development and educational psychology and a perfect 4.00 GPA
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in April.
