April 02, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BGSU's total is the second highest in the conference
A total of seven Bowling Green State University women's basketball student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league office announced Thursday morning (April 2). The Falcons' list of honorees includes Johnea Donahue, Taya Ellis, Jasmine Fearne, Lauren Gerken, Paige Kohler, Kendal Moxey and Emily Siesel.
BGSU's total of seven student-athletes named to the team is the second highest in the MAC.
Siesel earns the honor for the third consecutive season, while Fearne and Kohler were named to the team for the second-straight year.
A total of 49 student-athletes across the conference were named to the team. Of that group, five student-athletes were listed as maintaining a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average, and the Falcons had three of those five.
The Academic All-MAC Team honor is bestowed upon those who have excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. True freshmen and transfers in their first academic year at their current school are not eligible for the Academic All-MAC Team.
