CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Championship bracket is set for 2007, and the Bowling Green State University Falcons will take on Miami University in the quarterfinal round. The Falcons will face the RedHawks on Friday morning (April 27) at 10:00 a.m. at Ottawa Park in Toledo, Ohio.

The Falcons are the fourth seed for the nine-team tournament, while Miami is seeded fifth. The winner of the BGSU-MU match will advance to play in Saturday's (April 28) semifinals at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Toledo's Varsity Courts.
The Falcons, RedHawks and Eastern Michigan all tied for fourth place in the final regular-season standings with identical 4-4 league records. In the event of a three-way tie, the first tiebreaker (for tournament seeding purposes) is head-to-head record of all teams involved in the tie. In this case, each team went 1-1, as BGSU had beaten Miami but lost to EMU in the regular season, while MU had defeated Eastern.
The second tiebreaker is winning percentage vs. other conference teams, beginning at the top of the standings and working down the list until the tie is broken. However, all three teams lost to number-one seed Western Michigan, #2 Buffalo and #3 Toledo, and all three squads defeated #7 Ball State, #8 Northern Illinois and #9 Akron.
The third tiebreaker is a draw, so the names were drawn out of a hat by a league office representative via teleconference on Monday morning. As a result of the draw, Bowling Green is the fourth seed, Miami the fifth and EMU the sixth seed.
