Grab a Piece of History On Wednesday

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics has announced that small pre-cut pieces of grass from the Doyt L. Perry Stadium playing field will be available for free to the general public this Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the south side of the stadium.

The department is preparing to install FieldTurf as its new playing surface for the 2007 season.

"We have had some interest from fans who wanted a piece of the playing surface before we began construction and this is the best time to do this," said Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations Jim Elsasser.
