Men's Golf Finishes Tied for 11th at Xavier Invitational

LOVELAND, Ohio - The Bowing Green State University men's golf team finished tied for 11th at the Xavier Invitational on Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 14), carding a 54-hole score of 875 (285-289-301). Eastern Kentucky finished first among the 20-team event with a score of 846.
Junior Matt Schneider led the Orange and Brown with a score of 213 (68-72-73). He finished in 18th.
Freshman Parker Hewit had one his best finishes of the fall campaign, finishing tied for 24th with a score of 216 (71-69-76).
Also competing for the Falcons were John Powers (221, T-43rd), Drew Preston (227, T-74th) and Bryan Mitchell (235, T-96th).
The Xavier Invitational will conclude the fall season for the Falcons. They will once again take flight starting on Feb. 23.
