Falcons Finish Eighth at MAC Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team carded a 72-hole score of 1,310 to finish eighth at the Mid-American Conference Championships. Kent State won the tournament with a score of 1177.
With the 1,310 score the Falcons finished the season with 9,054 strokes through 28 rounds for a team average of 323.36, lowest season average in BGSU history. The previous best was 324.05 held by the 2001-02 Falcons.
Senior Jessica McCann played outstanding the entire tournament, recording a 72 hole score of 318 (81-80-81-76), saving her best round of the weekend for last, carding a 76.
Not far off of McCann's pace were fellow seniors Carley Hrusovsky and Lindsey Jonkhoff. Hrusovsky (83-79-84-79) finished 29th, while Jonkhoff finished in a tie for 31st with a 72-hole score of 333 (80-84-88-81).
Lauren Glew (89-80-85-85) and Hannah Lambert (85-92-87-88), playing in their first MAC Tournament finished in a tie for 35th and 40th overall respectively.
With the conclusion of the MAC Championships the Falcons will close their 2007-08 season, and will say goodbye to four seniors: Carley Hrusovsky, Jessica McCann, Amanda Bader and Lindsey Jonkhoff.
