Women's Track Recognized For Strong Academic Achievement

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Bowling Green State University women's track and field team was recognized for its' outstanding accomplishments in the classroom Tuesday (Aug. 5) as it was named an All-Academic Track and Field Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The honor marked the second-consecutive year that the women's squad of head coach Cami Wells was recognized, as the group sports a cumulative GPA of 3.254.
A total of 117 Division I schools were honored on the list, with Arizona State taking top honors as The USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year.
The selection of the All-Academic Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Teams of the Year award is based on a combination of academic and athletic achievements, with the top honor going to the team that had the combination of best overall finish at the Division I Indoor and/or Outdoor National Championships and cumulative GPA.
To be nominated for the list, a team must carry a minimum 3.000 team cumulative grade-point average.
