BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team will get the chance to play in front of a national audience on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Falcons' game against Western Michigan University that afternoon will be televised nationally by ESPNU. Tipoff time for the game at WMU's University Arena has been moved to 12:00 p.m.
This is believed to be the first time a BGSU regular-season women's basketball game will be broadcast to a national audience. The Falcons have had several NCAA Tournament games aired nationally, with the most recent being the 'Sweet Sixteen' game vs. Arizona State in the 2007 NCAA Championships.
BGSU, currently 16-2 overall and 5-0 in Mid-American Conference play, will next be in action on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 24). The Falcons of head coach Curt Miller will head to Eastern Michigan University to face the Eagles, beginning a stretch of six-straight games against the MAC's West Division.
