Barnes Named Honorable Mention Wide Receiver of the Week

For the fourth time this season the College Football Performance Award has named Freddie Barnes one of its' most outstanding wide receivers of the week, this week being named honorable mention receiver of the week after posting eight catches for 122 yards and the game winning touchdown with 39 seconds remaining at Buffalo.
Two weeks ago the CFPA once again named Barnes Honorable Mention National Wide Receiver of the week after recording 14 catches for 172 yards and a touchdown versus Central Michigan
Prior to the contest with the Chippewas, Barnes was named the CFPA National Wide Receiver in back-to-back weeks, first hauling in 22 catches for 278 yards and three touchdowns in a win at Kent State and followed that up with 10 grabs for 160 yards and three touchdowns at Ball State.
On the year the Chicago Heights, Ill., native leads the country in receptions (107), yards (1,176), catches per game (11.9) and yards per game (130.7). He is second in the country with 10 touchdown receptions.
Barnes is a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff award, given out to the nation's top receiver. For more information please visit www.FreddieBarnes.com.
Barnes and the Falcons plat at Miami on Thursday night. Opening kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
