Program-Record 10 Falcons Earn NFF Hampshire Honor Society Honors
April 08, 2026 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green placed a program-record 10 student-athletes on the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, as announced by the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame, surpassing last year's previous record total of seven honorees. The National Football Foundation is celebrating its 20th anniversary of the Hampshire Honor Society.
DT Evan Branch-Haynes, TE Blane Cleaver, OT Tunde Fatukasi, P John Henderson, OG Andrew Kilfoyl, CB Jalen McClendon, OT Nate Pabst, QB Drew Pyne, WR Reis Stocksdale and RB PaSean Wimberly all earned the accolade.
The 10 honorees highlight the continued commitment to excellence in the classroom for the Falcons, extending Bowling Green's streak to six consecutive years with at least one student-athlete recognized by the organization. To be eligible for the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher throughout their collegiate careers.
Other qualifications for membership include being a starter or significant contributor in the final year of eligibility at an NCAA FBS, FCS, Division II, Division III or NAIA institution, or a graduated student-athlete at least three years removed from high school, while also meeting all NCAA/NAIA-mandated progress toward degree requirements.
BGSU's previous program record of seven honorees was set in 2025. Presley Motes earned the honor in 2021, while James Carolan, Jordan Murphy, Matt Naranjo and Nate Needham were recognized in 2022. In 2023, Mason Lawler, Matt McDonald and Jake Rogers received accolades, followed by Darren Anders, Demetrius Hardamon and Austin Osborne in 2024. In 2025, Dontrez Brown, Todd Bumphis, Chace Davis, Levi Gazarek, Demetrius Hardamon, Brock Horne and Alex Wollschlaeger were honored. Due to an eligibility adjustment by the NFF following the COVID-19 pandemic, Hardamon became the first Falcon to earn the distinction twice.
