Sheehan Named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week

For the third time in 2009 and the eighth time in his career the Mid-American Conference has named Tyler Sheehan the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week after his efforts versus Buffalo in a 30-29 come-from-behind win on national television.
Sheehan completed 22-of-40 passes for 313 yards and one touchdown, the game-winner with 39 seconds remaining in the contest. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native added a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as well.
It was the fifth fourth quarter comeback of the senior's career and second of 2009, after leading the Falcons to a 36-35 win at Kent State back on Oct. 10.
Sheehan has thrown for 2,990 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2009 and has a chance to set a new school record for passing yards in a season, set in 2004 by Omar Jacobs (4,002).
For his career Sheehan has completed 870-of-1,351 passes for 9,056 yards, all second-best in school history, behind Brian McClure (900-of-1,427 and 10,280 yards).
