Falcons Improve on Day Two of Duramed Collegiate; Remain in 20th

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team improved by seven strokes on day two of the Duramed Collediate at Rio Verde, but were unable to climb higher in the team standings. Through 36 holes the Falcons sit in 20th with a 36-hole score of 671 (339-332).
Kansas continues to lead the event with a score of 589. Toledo (609), Minnesota (610), Arkansas-Little Rock (610) and Northern Arizona (613) round out the top five.
Three of the five Falcons improved upon yesterday's performance, helping the Orange and Brown to their day two improvement.
The star of the day was junior Megan Gormley, who carded a 77 (37-40), en route to a top finish for the day for the Orange and Brown. Gormley rolled off three straight birdies in the opening nine for her top performance of the spring. Through 36 holes she sits in a tie for 70th with a score of 161 (84-77).
Marisa Glew, who led the Falcon in yesterday's action, fired an 86 this afternoon. She currently sits in a tie for 89th with a score of 166 (80-86).
Her sister, Lauren Glew sits in a tie for 98th with a score of 169 (84-85).
Megan Bader and Hannah Lambert made the biggest improvements of the day for the Orange and Brown, improving by seven and 10 strokes.
Bader carded an 84 on day two, improving by seven shots, after carding a 91 on Friday afternoon. She sits in 101st.
Lambert fired an 88 on Saturday afternoon after carding a 98 the day prior. She currently sits in 102nd.
Final round of action will take place on Sunday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
