COMPLETE LIST OF AWARD WINNERS
The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced this week the 2009 Division I All-Academic Track and Field teams, with Bowling Green being named to the team for the third consecutive season.
“I am extremely proud of the young women on the team for all the hard work they put in day-to-day both in the classroom and in practice and competition,” said BGSU head track and field coach Cami Wells. “This honor is a reflection of the commitment the team has made to being successful student-athletes.”
The Falcons ranked third in the MAC with a team grade-point average of 3.30, up from 3.254 a year ago.
The selection of the All-Academic Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Teams of the Year award is based on a combination of academic and athletic achievements, with the top honor going to the team that had the combination of best overall finish at the respective Division I Indoor or Outdoor National Championships and cumulative GPA.
To be nominated, the team must carry a minimum 3.000 cumulative grade-point average.
