Men's Cross Country Reports on Sunday

The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team is nearly ready to get the 2009 season underway. The Falcon runners are scheduled to report to campus on Sunday, August 16. The team will begin practice on the following day.
The Orange and Brown finished ninth in the Mid-American Conference a year ago and will feature a young group of runners this season. There are no seniors on the roster, so seven juniors will attempt to lead the Orange and Brown to better success.
Christopher Moody, John Bernard, Abraham Busienei, Jeff Ehler, Johnstone Kirui, Erik Kuehner and Jesse Smuda all return for their third year of eligibility.
Moody was the Falcons top performer in every race last year and placed 48th at the MAC Championships.
Sophomores Ben Leininger and Peter Miles also return and freshman Jason Salyer rounds out the roster.
Bowling Green begins the season on September 4 with a dual meet at Toledo scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. The first home meet is on September 12 when the Falcons host the Mel Brodt Invitational.
