Scheidler led all MAC tight ends with seven touchdowns a year ago.
He has played in all 37 games for the Falcons over the past three years.
He won three state championships at Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis.
He was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week following a two-touchdown performance in a stunning road win over ranked Pittsburgh a year ago.
