BGSU Softball to host Softball Winter Clinic

Join the BGSU Softball coaches and players in a November clinic to hone your softball skills
Bowling Green, OHIO— Bowling Green State University Softball Head Coach Shannon Salsburg and team will be hosting a Softball Winter Clinic on Nov. 21, 2009 at the Perry Field House from 9:00 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m. Each session of the clinic is open to players of all ages.
The clinic will include five training sessions, focusing on pitching skills, being a short game specialist, power hitting, and both infield and outfield defensive techniques.
In session one, assistant coach and former Falcon pitcher, Hayley Wiemer will be demonstrating and teaching the mechanics and skills involved in honing a player's pitching skills.
The second session of the Softball Winter Clinic focuses on the intricate details of becoming a short-game specialist with Coach Lani Shaffer and the BGSU softball players.
The third and fourth sessions of the clinic will allow Coach Salsburg and Coach Shaffer, respectively, to teach the fundamentals of successfully playing the infield and outfield positions.
Last but not least, join Coach Salsburg and the rest of the BGSU softball staff and players in a session emphasizing the BGSU hitting approach. Here, players can learn three areas that BGSU hitters highlight daily.
