Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a talent show Sunday evening in an effort to raise funds for Haiti relief efforts. Eleven acts performed in front of judges and over 200 people in attendance.
The talent show raised just over $400 for the relief efforts as ten different teams, along with the athletic trainers, were represented in the talent show. Cross country/track and field athlete Andrea Pereira de Almeida served as the lead organizer for the event. Men's soccer player Jacob Lawrence served as the emcee for the event and the strength and conditioning department, along with Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Lee Meserve, served as the judges.
Softball player Zada Lines was named the winner of the solo act with her jump rope routine. Football player Champ Fells finished second and cross country runner Ben Leininger was third. In the group category, the track and field team finished first, followed by the men's soccer team and the athletic trainers.
