Men's Basketball Banquet Scheduled For April 18

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will hold its annual banquet on Sunday, April 18, at the BTSU Ballroom beginning at 5:00 p.m.
The cost is $30 per person or $50 per couple. Additional ways to impact the overall success of the BGSU men's basketball program include being a player sponsor ($30) or a table sponsor ($270 for a table of 10).
End-of-season awards will be handed out and the Falcons' senior class of Matt Karaffa, Marc Larson, Erik Marschall, and Otis Polk will be recognized.

Bowling Green went 14-16 during the 2009-10 season and 6-10 in Mid-American Conference play but the Falcons did have a handful of signature wins throughout the year. BGSU defeated both the MAC regular season champions Kent State and the MAC Tournament champions Ohio, as well as picking up a non-conference victory over St. Louis, one of the top teams in the Atlantic 10. The Falcons also beat rival Toledo 58-47, defeating the Rockets for the third consecutive season.
Karaffa, Larson, Marschall, and Polk were critical pieces of the 2008-09 Bowling Green men's basketball team that went 19-14 overall and won the MAC regular season crown with an 11-5 league mark. That team represented Bowling Green in the National Invitation Tournament, dropping a hardfought 73-71 decision to No. 1 seed Creighton in the first round.
