LaMonta Stone To Take Part In ACE Program

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University men's basketball assistant coach LaMonta Stone has been accepted into the Achieving Coaching Excellence (ACE) professional development program for ethnic minority basketball coaches. The event will take place June 15-18 in Indianapolis.
The program is administered by the Black Coaches and Administrators association and is supported by the NCAA. The program is designed to enhance a select group of ethnic minority assistant basketball coaches to become the next generation of collegiate head basketball coaches through areas of leadership, communications, campus relations, media training and program management.
The professional development opportunity began in 2003 and 90 coaches have completed the program, with 27 having been elevated to a head coaching position.
