Gates Named National Kick Returner of the Week

BooBoo Gates, a member of the Bowling Green State University football team, was named the National Kick Returner of the Week by the College Football Performance Award (CFPA), a website dedicated to college football.
Gates had four returns for 152 yards (38.0 avg.), including an 88-yard touchdown return in the fourth quarter versus Toledo to get the Falcons to within one score.
Gates is first in the Mid-American Conference and eighth nationally with a 29.8 yard return average and one touchdown. The sophomore has a 77-yard return versus West Virginia and has had eight of his 18 returns go for over 25 yards.
