Gates Named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week

BooBoo Gates, a member of the Bowling Green State University football team, was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Special Teams Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday (Oct. 17).
Gates had four returns for 152 yards (38.0 avg.), including an 88-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter versus Toledo to get the Falcons to within one score.
Gates is first in the MAC and eighth nationally with a 29.8 yard return average and one touchdown. The sophomore has a 77-yard return versus West Virginia and has had eight of his 18 returns go for over 25 yards.
