Hammond, Reuland Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Andrew Hammond and women's tennis player Emily Reuland.
Male Athlete of the Week
Andrew Hammond, a junior from Surrey, British Columbia, earned a pair of wins over the weekend by allowing just one goal in two contests. He made 50 saves on the weekend for a 0.50 goals against average and had a save percentage of .980. Hammond blanked Alabama Huntsville Saturday, earning his first shutout of the season and third of his career.
Female Athlete of the Week
Emily Reuland, a sophomore from Oswego, Ill., went 6-0 at the Rocket Invitational in Toledo over the weekend. She won a singles title at the third flight, going 3-0 without dropping a set. In doubles, Reuland combined with junior Katie Grubb for three victories and a flight title, winning a pair of 8-2 matches and posting an 8-4 victory in the final match.
