The Bowling Green State University football team, along with Kroger and the "Sacks for Cash" program spent Monday afternoon at the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank in Toledo, Ohio, to contribute sacks of groceries to needy during the holiday season.
The “Sacks for Cash” program began in the 2011 football season. Every time a Falcon player sacked the quarterback, Kroger donated sacks of groceries of $25 value to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.
The Falcons finished the year with 21 sacks, helping raise $525 towards the "Sacks for Cash" program.
