Falcons host Crusaders Wednesday night at the Stroh
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has one final game before taking a brief break for the holidays ... the Falcons of head coach Curt Miller host Madonna University in Wednesday (Dec. 21) action ... tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at BGSU's Stroh Center.

• The Falcons saw a seven-game winning streak snapped on Sunday (Dec. 18), as BGSU fell, 49-47, on the road against Creighton ... after starting the season with losses to Dayton and Purdue, BGSU posted victories over Evansville, Detroit, Western Kentucky, Butler, Youngstown State, Austin Peay and Jacksonville, prior to losing at CU ... five of the seven wins came at BG's brand-new Stroh Center.
• Junior Chrissy Steffen led the Falcons in scoring at Creighton, with 10 points, while senior Jessica Slagle and redshirt sophomore Alexis Rogers had nine points apiece.
• Junior Allison Papenfuss had a solid game at CU, with eight points and a career-high nine rebounds for the Brown and Orange ... her point total tied a season best, and she played a season-high 22 minutes vs. the Bluejays.
• Madonna University, a member of the NAIA, is located in Livonia, Mich. ... the Crusaders, a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, are 5-5 overall and 2-2 in WHAC play this year to date.
• BGSU had 33 rebounds to Creighton's 32 on Sunday ... it marked the fifth consecutive game that the Falcons had held the rebounding advantage ... BG had been outrebounded in each of the season's first five games.
• Sunday's game marked BG's first loss this season (4-1) when outrebounding the opposition ... the Falcons now have a record of 143-14 in such games in the Curt Miller Era.
• Creighton had a slightly better field-goal percentage than the Falcons, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor to BG's 40.0% ... BGSU is 6-0 this season and 67-0 in the last three-plus seasons when posting a better FG percentage than the opponent ... the Falcons are 24-20 when the opposition has a higher field-goal rate during that time.
• BGSU's three true sophomores, Jillian Halfhill, Jill Stein and Noelle Yoder, all have topped their scoring totals for all of last season ... Halfhill has 68 points this year after scoring a total of 25 points last winter ... Stein, who scored 30 points a season ago, has 37 in 2011-12 to date ... and, Yoder has 36 points this season after scoring 21 as a freshman.
• Miller and his staff returned nine letterwinners – but just one starter – from last year's 28-5 team ... Steffen, the lone returning starter, was chosen to the Preseason All-MAC Team.
• Not only is Steffen the lone returning starter, she was the only player on the BGSU roster to have started even one collegiate game prior to the 2011-12 season opener at Dayton ... that group included Halfhill, Havel, Rogers and Slagle ... the quartet has joined Steffen in the starting lineup for each of the 10 games to date.
