Falcons Announce 2011 Football Schedule

COMPOSITE MAC SCHEDULE
MAC TEAM-BY-TEAM SCHEDULE
The Bowling Green State University football team, along with the Mid-American Conference, has announced its 2011 schedule. The Falcons' 2011 slate will feature six home contests and at least three games that could be featured on ESPN.
Bowling Green will open the season on Thurs., Sept. 1 at Idaho in a rematch of the 2009 Humanitarian Bowl. (Game was previously scheduled for Sept. 3)
The Falcons will open the home season on Sat., Sept. 10 versus Morgan State and play host to Wyoming the following weekend (Sept. 17). Wyoming's current offensive coordinator, Gregg Brandon, was the Falcons' head coach from 2003-08.
Bowling Green will host Toledo on Oct. 15 and Temple the following weekend on Oct. 22. The contest with the Rockets will be the first time since 1999 that the two teams have not faced each other in November.
The Orange and Brown will close the home season with a Nov. 8 (Tues.) tilt with Northern Illinois and a Nov. 16 (Wed.) contest with Ohio. Both games are scheduled to air on one of the ESPN Networks (ESPN2/ESPNU)*.
BGSU will open the MAC season in Oxford, Ohio on Sept. 24 in a showdown with Miami. Other road contests will feature trips to West Virginia (Oct. 1), Western Michigan (Oct. 8), Kent State (Oct. 29) and Buffalo (Nov. 25). The contest with the Bulls will be carried live on ESPNU/ESPN3*.
The games with NIU and OU will begin at 8 p.m. All other kickoff times will be announced at a later date.
