Williamson, Wishart Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Bryce Williamson and gymnast Danielle Wishart.
Male Athlete of the Week
Bryce Williamson, a freshman from Seba Beach, Alberta, scored the game-winning tally 34 seconds into the second overtime of Sunday night's series-clinching win against Northern Michigan. During the three-game series, he scored two goals and notched an assists, recording the first multi-point game of his career in game one of the series. His goal gave the 11th-seeded Falcons an upset victory and advanced the team to the second-round of the CCHA Tournament, where the team will face top-seeded Michigan beginning Friday.
Female Athlete of the Week
Danielle Wishart, a sophomore from Bethesda, Md., posted season-highs on three of four events Friday night, helping the BGSU gymnastics team to a season-best 193.800 team score. Facing Kentucky and George Washington, she posted the top score on the vault with a 9.850 and the second-high score on the floor, also a 9.850. Wishart finished fifth on the beam as well with a 9.750.
