Final Round of Dolores Black Falcon Invitational Canceled

Due to severe winds that caused unplayable course conditions, the final round of the 2011 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational was canceled on Sunday afternoon (April 17).
Winds on the course were constant at 25-30 miles per hour, with gusts blowing stronger. Several players were nearly finished with their rounds and all players had completed at least nine holes; however, it was deemed that play simply could not continue. Play was not suspended because weather conditions were not expected to improve.
The final results of the tournament revert back to Saturday's first round. Western Michigan is the tournament champion with a score of 316.
The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished sixth after posting a 335 on Saturday. Bailey Arnold and Amy Ruthenberg tied for 16th with BGSU's best score, as each totaled an 83.
The Falcons will next play later this week at the 2011 Mid-American Conference Championships. More information, including team lineup, will be available in the next few days.
