Fulk, Arney Named Capital One Academic All-District

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University sophomore shortstop Hannah Fulk was named Capital One First Team Academic All-District and senior centerfielder Lindsay Arney was named to the third team, as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Nominees for the award must by sophomore eligibility or older, must not be a first round transfer student, and must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher. First-team honorees, such as Fulk, will be placed on the ballot for Academic All-America consideration.
Fulk holds a 4.00 grade point average in mathematics. She bats lead-off for the Falcons and plays arguably the toughest position defensively at shortstop. Offensively, Fulk ranks second on the team with a .315 batting average and has 10 doubles and four home runs. She ranks second on the team with a .508 slugging percentage and leads the team with a .423 on-base percentage, drawing 22 walks this year.
Arney was named to the third team with a 3.94 grade point average in biology. She has played in all 42 games for the Falcons, starting 39 times in centerfield. She is hitting .213 on the season with seven runs scored and four RBI. She has six outfield assists.
