BGSU, The Oasis Announce New Partnership
September 06, 2011 | General
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University Athletics and its multimedia rights holder Falcon Sports Properties today announced a delectable, four-year partnership with The Oasis. This move marks the first of its kind for the restaurant, which also will introduce a blimp promotion during Falcon basketball seasons at the new Stroh Center.
Activation behind the new partnership gets underway with BGSU fans this fall in conjunction with the opening of the new Stroh Center. An Oasis-branded blimp will drop coupons into the seats at Stroh Center allowing fans the opportunity to go home with instant savings at the eatery. The Oasis just opened a store across from BGSU at 1424 E. Wooster Street, and its blimp will drop coupons twice during approximately 15 home hockey games and approximately 30 home men's and women's basketball games.
"We're so excited to be official partners with Bowling Green Athletics,” said Mo Dari, owner of The Oasis' Bowling Green and Toledo locations. “We have worked hard to get to this point, and we are thrilled to be a part of the university community. Go Falcons!"
“We are thrilled to partner with The Oasis for the next four years and know this will be the beginning of a great relationship” said Mary Ellen Gillespie, Associate Athletics Director for External Relations. “As one of the newest businesses in town and a new campus neighbor, we are excited to welcome them to the Falcon family. Their new promo will enhance our hockey and basketball atmosphere and will be very popular with our fans.”
Falcon Sports Properties secured The Oasis partnership on behalf of BGSU Athletics. In addition to Bowling Green State University, Learfield Sports manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions, conferences and associations. It also titles the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup, in conjunction with award co-founders NACDA and USA Today.
