Berkle, Ali Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Adam Berkle and gymnast Jamilah Ali.
Male Athlete of the Week
Adam Berkle, a freshman from Collegeville, Pa., helped the Falcons secure a split in Fairbanks this weekend, recording a goal (game winner) and an assist Friday night, and a goal Saturday night. Berkle is currently riding a three game point streak, the longest of his young career. He has three goals and seven assists in 26 games played this season.
Female Athlete of the Week
Jamilah Ali, a freshman from Toms River, N.J., had the best meet of her young career, recording two personal bests and winning a pair of events Saturday against West Virginia. She won the vault (9.825) and balance beam (9.800) to help the Falcons to a near-upset of the No. 21 Mountaineers. She added a fifth place finish in the all-around (37.625) and a seventh place score on the floor (9.775).
