Lynch, Arnold Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player D.J. Lynch and women's golfer Bailey Arnold.
Male Athlete of the Week
D.J. Lynch, a redshirt sophomore from Pontiac, Mich., had a career-high 10 tackles and two tackles for loss in the Falcons' 24-0 win at UMass last Saturday. Lynch and the Falcon defense held the Minutemen to just 118 total yards, while forcing four turnovers and holding UMass to 1-of-16 on third downs. In was BGSU's first shutout since Nov. 6, 2004.
Female Athlete of the Week
Bailey Arnold, a junior from Cincinnati, Ohio, finished tied for third at The Preview with a 36-hole score of 152 to help the Falcons finish second among the 15-team field with a score of 624. Arnold opened with a 77 on day one and closed with a 75 to finish the tournament.
