Men’s Golf Finishes 13th at UD Invitational

The Bowling Green State University men's golf team wrapped up its fall season this afternoon (Oct. 23), finishing 13th at the UD Invitational with a 36-hole score of 612. BGSU carded a 305 on day two, two shots lower than Monday's score.
Oakland finished first among the 18-team field with a score of 578, including a 277 on Tuesday afternoon. IPFW (588) and Valparaiso (596) finished second and third. The only other school from the Mid-American Conference was Ohio, who finished 11th with a 610.
The Falcons were led by sophomore Joe Cooper. Copper finished tied for 19th with a score of 149 (73-76). It was the first time this season the Orange and Brown were not led by senior Wes Gates.
Speaking of Gates, he finished tied for 47th with a 154 (78-76). Gates was joined by Chris Melvin (82-74--156, T-59th), Holden Pahr (78-79--157, T-65th) and Charlie Olson (78-81--159, T-72nd).
The Falcons will return to action in February.
