While there may still be snow on the ground in Bowling Green, Ohio, the Bowling Green State University men's golf team is just days away from beginning its 2013 spring season. The Falcons will open play at the Mid-American Conference Match Play Event in Dade City, Fla., beginning on Feb. 11. The event is being held at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club.
The field will include eight teams from the Mid-American Conference: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Miami University, Northern Illinois, Ohio and Toledo. The eight teams will compete in a double-elimination tournament. The two-day event will consist of 54 holes of match play competition.
