Schmiedebusch Named National Punter of The Week

Brian Schmiedebusch, a member of the Bowling Green State University football team, was named the National Punter of the Week by the College Football Performance Award (CFPA).
The junior had six punts on the night, with five of them traveling over 50 yards in the Falcons' 26-14 win at Ohio last Wednesday (Nov. 7). For the contest, the 2011 first team All-MAC performer averaged 50.5 yards per punt and had four of his six attempts downed inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
Schmiedebusch is averaging 42.7 yards per punt this season and has a career average of 44.1 per kick.
