Gallon, Penrod Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Chris Gallon and volleyball player Paige Penrod

Male Athlete of the Week
Chris Gallon, a redshirt freshman from Orlando, Fla., recorded career-bests in receptions (10), yards (213) and touchdowns (two) in the Falcons' 31-24 loss versus No. 25 Kent State. Gallon had touchdown receptions of 72 and 81 yards, the two longest catches of his career and established a BGSU record inside Doyt Perry Stadium with those 213 receiving yards.
Female Athlete of the Week
Paige Penrod, a junior from Circleville, Ohio, was named MAC Tournament MVP after leading the BGSU volleyball team to the MAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament bid. Penrod had double-doubles in all three victories on the weekend, culminated by 17 kills and a career-best 28 digs in the championship match. She added five blocks and four service aces on the weekend.
